Actress and UN Activist for Gender Rights,
The gorgeous Celina Jaitly is a true woman of substance. The fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe contest in 2001, she has used her considerable influence to espouse the cause of the underprivileged. The beauty pageant winner first dazzled in Bollywood with movies like Janasheen, No Entry, Golmaal Returns and Silsiilay to name a few but even then she was vocal about the issues she believed in. One of the few Bollywood celebrities to talk about gender, human rights issues and women’s health and sex workers’ rehabilitation, Celina’s passionate involvement with LGBT rights, in particular, has been recognised by the United Nations. For the past several years, she has served as the goodwill ambassador for United Nation’s Free and Equal campaign. She has also been a brand ambassador for Egypt and was one of the jury members of the Cairo Film Festival in 2010.
